Cleft lip and palate, craniofacial clefts and other birth defects — cleft care since 2005, now leading the Smile Train Central Hospital Cleft Project.
Dr. Masum has been involved in cleft lip and cleft palate care in Bangladesh since 2005. In 2016 he observed comprehensive, multidisciplinary cleft care at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. He is Chief Plastic Surgeon and Project Director of the Smile Train – Central Hospital Cleft Project in Dhaka, through which cleft surgery is provided free of charge to eligible children.
